This is beater Cypress’ school. We want to make him look GOOD to his classmates. I know it gets busy in May. Please do your best to get your child to the gig as close to 5:30 pm as possible and stay to help us pack as long as you can.

We will be playing indoors.
Please make sure your ‘beater is in good standing with their teachers and principals so they won’t mind them missing an afternoon to perform community service : >)
Whereas, we need as many Beaters as possible to stay and help pack up, if the only reason you can’t get there early or stay after the gig is that your Beater has another event, that’s OK as long as you let me know in advance. Please stay as long as you possibly can and maybe come a little early so you can help set up more than those who can help afterward.

This will be a hurry-up-and-wait kind of night depending on how quickly the sound guy can get a good sound out of us and the video guy can understand when to get the camera on the correct area to capture the featured sections and soloists. Please help your child understand they may be sitting more than they would like but we need them to take deep breaths, and not get whiny about the situation. The fewer distractions the directors and tech crew all have, the faster this process will go.

MAIN PERFORMANCE: OFFICIAL SHIRT, solid black PANTS ONLY, NO SHORTS, solid black socks, solid black shoes (no stripes, piping, etc in any color but BLACK. Same with belts; ALL BLACK).
EXTRA SHIRT – FINALE PERFORMANCE: JELLYBEAN OVER YOUR OFFICIAL BLUE SHIRT. Keep the same bottoms. (if you don’t have an extra shirt, please just wear your regular WGTB shirt).
NO SHORTS PLEASE. We need to look as spiffy as possible.
