This will be a WGTB Rookies and Secondary ONLY event! We will be playing at the same place we did earlier this school year, the Discovery Center! We will have a WGTB booth out until 2 pm, and will take a couple of volunteers interested in sitting with Roman. Email at romanplaysdrums@gmail.com to confirm volunteer help.

Official 2025/26 shirt on top, ALL BLACK on the bottom. NO OTHER COLORS ALLOWED. If your shoes have other colors on them, you MUST cover the other colors with BLACK TAPE. NO WHITE SOCKS WITH SHORTS PLEASE! NO FANCY BELT BUCKLES. BLACK ONLY EVERYTHING EXCEPT OUR OFFICIAL SHIRT

We Got the Beat will be performing for the Fresno Grizzlies Little League event! This will be part of their opening weekend. They will be supporting the Local Little League and youth activities such as ours by allowing us to fundraise from ticket sales.
All Beaters and family members will be required to purchase a $25 ticket to participate and watch the game afterwards. The We Got the Beat Program will be getting $10 back on each ticket we sell as long as we bring out 100 people, SO please encourage everyone around you, grandparents, uncles, aunts, neighbors, friends, to join us and buy a ticket from WGTB! This is also a great opportunity for our beaters to hang out with each other, which is MUCH needed!
Our Beyond the Beater, Mateo, will be performing the National Anthem for the crowd. We will be selling tickets soon. Stay posted!

Local Jazz Musician and recent Fresno State Graduate Nick Vawter will be opening his “Porch” for WGTB to play! He is in the heart of the Tower District, which brings a ton of foot traffic. We will be playing for about an Hour on his front lawn at a beautiful time in the evening!

This will be a hurry-up-and-wait kind of night depending on how quickly the sound guy can get a good sound out of us and the video guy can understand when to get the camera on the correct area to capture the featured sections and soloists. Please help your child understand they may be sitting more than they would like but we need them to take deep breaths, and not get whiny about the situation. The fewer distractions the directors and tech crew all have, the faster this process will go.

MAIN PERFORMANCE: OFFICIAL SHIRT, solid black PANTS ONLY, NO SHORTS, solid black socks, solid black shoes (no stripes, piping, etc in any color but BLACK. Same with belts; ALL BLACK).
EXTRA SHIRT – FINALE PERFORMANCE: JELLYBEAN OVER YOUR OFFICIAL BLUE SHIRT. Keep the same bottoms. (if you don’t have an extra shirt, please just wear your regular WGTB shirt).
NO SHORTS PLEASE. We need to look as spiffy as possible.

WGTB relies solely on donations and fund raising for all aspects of its operation including new equipment purchases, equipment repairs, and travel costs for the students.
